Sad New Year's eve

Death toll now is 125,000 ( Reuters). Millions in the affected areas are at risk and may die many of them children.

Millions of others are missing.

It's somber New Year's Eve in Asia. Usually I post New Year greetings on all my websites but this year I just can't do it. It just seems not right.

Defaced Website

Just discovered one of my website was defaced by someone who read my postings in a newsgroup. All I did was ask anybody interested to participate by contributing to my "scrap book" of sorts. Must have hit a nerve somewhere. It was a wiki - on making money online. Restored back that website back to original. I love Wiki's :)

Wikipedia is a good example of a growing information rich website.

Search Engine hit!

Following some "tips" from Jawa. (Thanks Java!!) I managed to push my ranking into Yahoo in just ONE day!!! Yahoo Search : Malaysia Blog.

But I'm very confident it won't last so I'm capturing a snapshot of it now for rememberance.

I have not one but both my blogs up there.

Out of top 10
Ah just like I predicted. My top 10 entry in Yahoo Search ("Malaysia Blog") has just dropped out of the first age to no 11.

It's 3 days since the Tsunami but looking thru the many pictures, only now does it dawn on me the extent of the destruction. It makes last week's 2 bus crashes looks trivial (not that I am making any death "trivial").

I guess it's appropriate that this year's countdown to 2005 is replace with prayers.

No time to update my sites

Still too caught up in the awe of the Tsunami. Didn't even have time to maintain my chess and elearning website.

Went up to Cameron Highlands for Christmas with my Mom, Dad and sister yesterday.
Took a bus up there. The infamous Kurnia Express which has had 2 accidents (one with 5 fatalities) in the space of 2 days. They got their license suspended. How I got tickets to go from KL to Cameron Highlands - is beyond me. Anyway since I was taking a different road from the other 2 busses I figured it was safe :)

Posting Chess diagrams demo

Made a video demo as instruction on how to add a chess diagram - just by using a browser. 4 minutes worth of video.
